Matt 8 : 23-28  Then he got into the boat and his disciples followed him.
24  Without warning, a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Hoshay’ah  was sleeping
25 The disciples went and woke him, saying,  "Master, save us! We're going to drown!"
26  He replied, "You of little trust, why are you so afraid?  “Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.
27 The men were amazed and asked,

28"What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey Him?"

In answer to this is:

What His disciples… at that moment did not know, and would only at a time much later come to realize, that It was in fact the Angel Yawhú,(the Word) the very Creator of our universe who had become incarnated was in the boat with them, in human form.

His Father “Yaw-Eternal the Supreme Father of all, had some 15 billion years ago, given Him (His Son) , the commission, recourses, knowledge and power to bring this Creation into being. His disciples were right to call Him Master, although at that moment they did not have any idea of the greatness which that statement implied!

It was He who among so many countless other things, in our beginning,… put Earth and her 8 other sister planets in place around our sun.
It was also He who, by His immense power had previously throughout our universe brought countless stars into being. Then some 4.5 billion years ago, with an incredible demonstration of power He lit up our Sun by causing a nuclear fire in it so that it in turn would give light,… life…. and warmth to us thru time.

Some 2 000 years ago…He became flesh, in the person of Hoshay’ah Mawshee’akh (Messiah), setting alight the flame of love, hope and joy in the hearts His people. He did this for all who would come to trust and accept deliverance in his Name, and thereafter follow in His footsteps..
This gift from Him that has been so freely extended, applies even to those afar off, “meaning us” who would also in time come to call on His blessed Name.

As a result of having accepted His Name and promises, countless  people all over the world have since had their garments washed in the blood of the Lamb, and been Immersed thru water in the Name of Yawhúshúa Mawshee’akh  . (Acts 2:38)
Paul the Apostles comments on this matter:

2 Cor. 4:6 For the Almighty One, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of His power in the face of Hoshay’ah  Mawshee’akh

The Disciples …did not know that the events that were transpiring at that moment in the boat, were actually history in the making.
In a step by step account, the prophecy or script that David wrote by The Spirit of “Yaw” far in advance of time, was literally being enacted or fulfilled on this stage that was set before their very eyes.

Psalm 89 : 8  O Yawhú  of hosts (the Son),  Who is mighty like You, O Sovereign?  Your steadfastness also surrounds You
You rule the raging of the sea; when its waves rise, You still them.
Psalm 107: 23-30 Those who go down to the sea in ships, Who do business on great waters,
24 They see the works of Yawhú (the Son the preincarnated Mawshee’akh), and His wonders in the deep.
25 For He commands and raises the stormy wind, which lifts up the waves of the sea.

The Psalmist, discloses that Hoshay’ah while appearing to be asleep, actually commanded the storm to take place.
26 They mount up to the heavens, they go down again to the depths; Their soul melts because of trouble.
27 They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wits' end.
28 Then they cry out to the Almighty One in their trouble,

Having done so… He at their request then calms the storm, guides them to their desired haven and out of their distress.

29 He calms the storm, So that its waves are still.

30 Then they are glad because they are quiet; so He guides them to their desired haven.

John the immerser…states the following about Mawshee’akh:
Matt 3:11 I indeed immerse you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall immerse you with the “Rauch Qôdesh”  (Hebrew for the gift of the spirit, of Yaw-Eternal), and with fire:

This Scripture is saying to us, that it is Mawshee’akh   who will anoint you with the Spirit the “Rauch Qôdesh”. Thereafter He will put you to the test with fiery trials, to see if you will put your trust in Him and call for His assistance, like His disciples in the above mentioned event did in the storm on the boat.

People don’t naturally walk on water

On another occasion we read;
Math 14:22-33 Immediately Hoshay’ah made His disciples get into the boat and go before Him to the other side, while He sent the multitudes away.
23 And when He had sent the multitudes away, He went up on the mountain by Himself to pray. Now when evening came, He was alone there.
24 But the boat was now in the middle of the sea, tossed by the waves, for the wind was contrary.
25 Now in the fourth watch of the night Hoshay’ah went to them, walking on the sea.
26 And when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, "It is a ghost!" And they cried out for fear.
27 But immediately Hoshay’ah spoke to them, saying, "Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid."
28 And Peter answered Him and said, "Master, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water."
29 So He said, "Come." And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Hoshay’ah.
30 But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, “Master, save me!"
31 And immediately Hoshay’ah stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, "O you of little trust, why did you doubt?"
32 And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased.
33 Then those who were in the boat came and revered Him, saying, "Truly You are the Son of "Yaw."

We need to know…that Mawshee’akh   was not an overzealous exhibitionist, eager to find an audience to show off His abilities to.
In fact, everything that He did or said when demonstrating the miracles which He performed, were actual descriptive lessons or teachings. These would have needed to be interpreted before the true meaning could be understood.

Mark 4:34 But without a parable spake He not unto them: and when they were alone, he expounded all things to his disciples.

The interpretation to this lesson is as follows:
Math 14: 22, Immediately Hoshay’ah made His disciples get into the boat and go before Him to the other side, while He sent the multitudes away.
23 And when He had sent the multitudes away, He went up on the mountain by Himself to pray. Now when evening came, He was alone there.

Firstly, we personally need to realize… that before we embark on any major undertaking, we have to make the necessary provision for such an endeavor.
To gain spiritual advantage on our journey, one needs to first find a retreat for oneself. This gives an opportunity for meditation and communion with The Father. It is imperative that all who are called to an active life in serving Him… must first in order of merit, have their hours set apart to contemplate and meditate before entering into His presence to ask for His guidance,… strength,.. and blessing on the way.

We are not… ready to act upon, or speak of the spiritual matters pertaining to The Eternal in public, unless we have first dealt with those things in secret before Him.
For this reason Mawshee’akh   first sought opportunity for prayer before He set forth on His mission.

Matt 24-25 But the boat was now in the middle of the sea, tossed by the waves, for the wind was contrary.

Secondly, we also need to realize…that the ocean, the sea or the great waters in prophetic language is a type for the heathen nations of the world and those who are not obedient to the Father’s will. The strong winds blowing up a storm, causing large waves, is to emphasize the social and moral degeneration of mankind’s sin, which at that time had already reached storm status. The waves threatening to engulf the people in the little boat, depicted the few righteous ones thru time, who are trying to stay afloat above those overwhelming waters (peoples evil and sinful influences).

25  Now in the fourth watch of the night Hoshay’ah  went to them, walking on the sea.

At the end of 4 000 years (on the fourth watch), in the current
7 000 year period of time that we are now living in, Hoshay’ah  Mawshee’akh came walking on or above the waters (the sins of the people) to redeem those who were in distress in the boat. (Still afloat but in danger of sinking beneath the waves of sin)
In other words, as the human Lamb of “Yaw”, He would become the one-time spotless (without sin) Passover Lamb (offering), who would offer His blood (life) to redeem the sins of His people.

When the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, "It is a ghost!" And they cried out for fear

He was in the… world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him .(John 1:10)(Matt 17:1 – 8)

Matt 14:27,29,30  But immediately Hoshay’ah  spoke to them, saying, "Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid."  And Peter answered Him and said, "Master, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water."
29 So He said, "Come." And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Hoshay’ah.
30 But when he saw that the wind [was] boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, "Master, help me!"

We all, when… being born again, take our first bold steps in trust. In our new found joy, due to our sins that have been forgiven, we actually manage to spiritually “walk on and above water”. Meaning, that for a while we manage to live exemplarily lives, socially and morally, above the many wicked influences of the world (the waters) while our eyes remain focused on Mawshee’akh.
With time however, we often lose focus on our objective, and our attentions begin to wander, causing us to lose sight of Mawshee’akh. This is when we once more become aware of the “boisterous wind” blowing around us (the lure of evil temptations), and as we are tempted, we start to sink beneath the waters of sin.
It is then like Peter, that we need to realize the peril of our backsliding and have to call out to Yawhushúa saying, "Master, help me!"
And immediately Hoshay’ah stretched out [His] hand and caught him, and said to him,
31 "O you of little trust, why did you doubt?"

The moral of this story is plainly this:
With Yawhushúa in the boat, (in our lives and in our assembly) if we stay focused on Him, we need not fear any moral storm.
32  And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased.
33 Then those who were in the boat came and revered Him, saying, "Truly You are the Son of Yaw-Eternal."

My prayer is that Yaw-Eternal the Father of love and peace be with you and guide you in all truth, thru His Son Yawhushúa ourMawshee’akh
Shalom
Bro Harold.
